To what extent do you think Shakespeare presents Macbeth as a tragic hero? The 17th century play, ‘Macbeth’ by William Shakespeare, was written during a time when James the first became the first king of both Scotland and England. The characters in the play are also based upon his descendants. The play itself focuses on the character of Macbeth who is manipulated into committing regicide by 3 witches. As the play progresses, both him and his wife begin to lose all sense of morality, resulting with both of their deaths in the end. Macbeth is portrayed as a tragic hero, but it is debatable as to whether he is constructed by Shakespeare to follow a classical or renaissance model. After hearing news of Macbeth’s plans, Lady Macbeth summons spirits: ‘Come, you spirits that tend on moral thoughts, unsex me here And fill me from the crown to the toe topfull Of direst cruelty’ could imply that she has contact with evil spirits but it can also infer that she has no cruelty and needs to be given it. In addition, Shakespeare has used ‘unsex me here’ to display how she feels the need to put aside all natural femininity in order to commit the bloody deeds that are necessary to seize the crown. Nevertheless, after Macbeth’s arrival she takes it upon herself to plan the murder and even has to manipulate Macbeth into committing the regicide. ‘I would... have plucked my nipple from his boneless gums and dashed the brains out, h ad I sworn as you have done this’. Even though it is never mentioned as to how or when they’re child died, Lady Macbeth tells the reader that she has had a child at some point. Furthermore, she tells Macbeth that she would of rather smashed her own baby’s head in than watch him cower out of killing the king. After hearing her say this he still has his doubts but she inevitably persuades him into it. There is a big difference between high school and college from having bells to a no dress policy. For high school students, they are obligated to go, and if they don’t attend then the government comes into play. As for college, it s a choice to go back to school. Students in college have variety of classes to choose from and freedom,etc. This could be freedom from parents or just doing whatever you want without parents barking at you, because you are now an adult. At this week, I have understood in detailed manner the exact importance of establishing attainable targets within deadlines. If an individual can meet the deadlines within a proper time during my internship program within the concerned company, then my leaders used to appreciate it as it promotes a good professionalism. My leaders and training managers effectively help me to understand the necessity of creating and meeting deadlines for attaining the goals of future. This lesson also promotes the important ways to reach my personal goals also. In this week, I have learned cross function SCM, HR, TSD and operation and all these will help me to solve the financial problem in my future company. I also gain knowledge on treasury and fixed asset process that determine and decides base unit of asset. The internship program helps me for developing my personal and professional skills for further development. During this week, the leaders provided me a task and asked me to finish it within a set deadline with a proper following of the targets. I have created some potential steps to finish my assigned tasks within the deadline. However, I was able to complete the assigned tasks by the leaders within the provided deadline after following some effective strategies. During my internship, I have created realistic and attainable deadlines for the completion of the tasks in order to resolve any kind of potential challenges with following strategic steps and methods. My leader also appreciates my skill of finishing tasks within deadlines and I got higher grade. Week 4 Finance management internship helps the interns to understand various skills and knowledge in order to handle the business operations of an organisation. In the fourth week, I have learned the importance of communication and the process of developing it. The class coordinator and the teaching staff of my internship programme were no much cooperative and always motivate me to share my knowledge and ideas with the other students in the class in order to become an independent learner. However, sharing my own experience and knowledge actually enhance my own creativity, which will contribute a lot in my future company, where I will be working. In this week, I have learned general ledger process, MIS and reporting process. The example of ledger suggests record of chronological accounting and MIS process helps to solve managerial problems such as monitoring, decision making and controlling. Internship has been proved to be an ideal way for learning and observing the workplace and how an organisation use effective communication in order to perform the fundamental business operations and activities such as organising, controlling, leading and planning. My internship program also helps me to discover important new skills of modern technology, explore my career path with sharing a proper networking channel with the professionals of MB Petroleum Services of Oman. The leader of my internship program always asked me to practise the small talks in order to reduce the barriers of effective communication. Small talk is the best, quickest and easiest way to enhance own communication skills. I spoke with my colleagues from the concerned organisation in order to know their experiences an always tried to get involved with every events of the company as it gives a vast view about the business operation of the company. Even with proper communication style and process, I interacted with my colleagues, the other students of the internship program and my leaders and class coordinators.
